Litter Pick – August

On Sunday (30th August) this lovely group of people gave up their spare time to help with our monthly litter pick on Twmbarlwm (there were more of us but not everyone was there for the photo shoot) – we collected about 10 bags of rubbish and left them for the council to collect as usual. We also separate out as much recyclable rubbish as possible and take that back down the mountain with us. Two of our volunteers also sort out cans and they go to help with fund raising for the OHIS.

All of this we do to keep our environment tidy and safe for all visitors to come and enjoy our beautiful landscape and historical heritage … but then …

I went back up the mountain on Tuesday and was very dismayed to find that another bunch of people had been up there after we’d finished our litter pick and set fire to it all and spread another load of rubbish around the area. There was also plenty of fast food wrappers scattered around by the bank holiday visitors.

Be like CTS members.
